Cook County TAP is excited to welcome three municipal leaders to share insights on building proactive policies to use limited municipal resources effectively to deliver quality services, including lead service line replacement. We'll be joined by:
- Dan Kaup, Director of Public Works, Wheeling
- Daniel Randolph, Assistant Director of Public Works, Schaumberg
As fiduciaries for the public they serve, municipal leaders are responsible for leveraging community finances in the most effective manner possible. A municipality's most expensive and, arguably, valuable assets are its transportation, sewer, and water infrastructure networks. This session explores the value of building a proactive set of policies using limited financial resources to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services. Topics discussed will include long-term replacement planning, maintenance programs, and setting service level expectations when budgeting for infrastructure management.
