A Public Health Imperative and Workforce Opportunity
A coalition led by Current, Elevate, HIRE360, and Metropolitan Planning Council explored opportunities to promote an inclusive workforce for lead service line replacement (LSLR). The resulting report, Leveraging Lead Service Line Replacement for Workforce Inclusion and Growth, positions this infrastructure work as both a public health imperative and a pivotal workforce development opportunity. The findings demonstrate how LSLR can support workforce development, create pathways for career and income growth, and deliver long-term impact—particularly in communities most affected by lead in water.
